Meat Glue: What is your steak made from?

You might think you're getting a nice juicy steak at a restaurant, but after watching this video I'm not so sure anymore, especially from the big chain restaurants...

Just another reason to get to know your farmer, and buy meats locally!!!

  2. I know, I know... it's been a while, haha. Check out my first post http://spacecoastprimal.blogspot.com/2011/03/first-blog-post-and-healthy-foods-on.html I still get most of my food from those sources.

Lucinda from Fresh Box Organics is starting up a meat delivery, but it's all bulk (1/2 cow, 1/2 lamb, etc.) so I haven't made the jump and tried it out yet:

¼ beef (about 125 lbs assortment of cuts) $7 a lb including shipping.
½ beef (about 250 lbs assortment of cuts) $6.50 a lb including shipping
Whole beef (about 500 lbs assortment of cuts) $6.00 a lb including shipping.
    ½ lamb (about 30lbs) $8.50 a lb including shipping.
Whole lamb (about 60lbs) $8.00 a lb including shipping.

Sounds interesting though, I think in the future we should definitely try this out or the supplier from Orlando.
